It is a road safari so you will be driving through the highway that leads to Lake Nakuru and Naivasha then branch towards Narok in the Great Rift Valley; the home of the world famous Masai tribe. 3 days Masai Mara Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

On the first day of your safari you will be picked from your Nairobi hotel and embark on your journey to Masai Mara, about 3.5 hours drive. You will have a brief stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint before where you will be treated by stunning sights of the Great Rift Valley below as well as the Mountains, Susswa and Longonot on the horizon. We will then continue with our drive until Mai Mahiu where you also have a brief stop (if you wish to see the hot springs). We drive further via Narok town and enter Masai Mara with game drives en route and arrive in time for lunch at the lodge/Camp. After lunch we will continue with game drives in Masai Mara in search of the big cats as well as other big game animals. Masai Mara is famous for the Great Wildebeests Migration but also for an amazing concentration of animals and birds species that can be spotted all year round. Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2

Safari in Masai Mara Game Reserve

We wake up in the Masai Mara Plains so we can choose to go for an early morning game drive to see the nocturnal predators retire from a night out as well as the plain game animals wake up for a new dawn. (If you wish). After breakfast we then go back for a full day of game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve. Among the animals we expect to spot includes all the big cats, cheetah, lion, and leopards as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, dik diks, and of course the wildebeests. Apart from the resident wildebeests and depending on the time of travel we expect also to witness the annual Migration herds and if lucky we might witness the spectacular crossing of River Mara. In the late afternoon we will return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp. All meals included.

Day 3

Masai Mara – Back to Nairobi

This day also we can go for an early morning game drives if you wish then drive back to the lodge/camp for breakfast. Alternatively after breakfast we will go for a morning game drive on our way out of the Game Reserve as we drive back to Nairobi City where the safari starts and ends. Breakfast and Picnic Lunch included.

If you are on a fly in safari to Masai Mara, then you will be transferred to the nearest Airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi or Mombasa.
