This four-day Kenya safari adventure takes you to the middle of the African savannah in the Masai mara where the big cats thrive. You expect to spot lions, cheetahs, and with a little bit of luck; the elusive leopards. Masai Mara has an estimated population of over 900 lions.
Masai Mara is a Big five safari destination in Kenya, and with luck you may spot all of them in your 4 days Kenya safari. The safari Big Five includes the elephant, lions, buffaloes, black rhinos and the leopards.
Other animals that you are likely to see at Masai Mara include topis, hartebeests, foxes, elands, porcupines, duikers, impalas, gazelles, hippos and many other animals.
Activities during your 4 days Masai Mara safari from Nairobi
This 4 days Masai Mara safari from Nairobi is mainly a wildlife safari so the main activity will be safari game drives in a 4×4 safari land cruiser, whereby you will be guided by a private Safari Desire’s professional safari guide.
Apart from the traditional safari game drives on a 4×4 safari vehicle or a regular van, you may also get involved in other extra activities that are allowed in the Masai Mara including; Walking safaris accompanied by Masai Warriors who are also naturalists, visits to Masai Villages (bomas), or even Hot air balloon safaris in Masai Mara.
Some of the activities like bush dinners or breakfasts, or sundowners can be arranged spontaneously while some like the hot air balloon ride are better booked well in advance.

Safari accommodation in Masai Mara range from budget, mid-range, standard luxury, deluxe and top end lodges and tented camps. 4 day Masai Mara safari from Nairobi; Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Depart Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara Game Reserve
On this first day of your 4 Days Kenya Safari to Masai Mara safari you will be picked up from your hotel within Nairobi’s CBD or the cities vicinity, or from The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your private safari guide will help you in loading your luggage to your safari car and you will depart for the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp. You will drive to your lodge /camp with safari game viewing on your way.
After lunch and some rest, you will go on your first afternoon game drive which will go on until around 6.00 Pm when you will be taken back to your lodge or camp for shower freshen up then you will settle at the restaurant for your dinner and later overnight. Overnight at the Zebra Mara Plains Camp or an upgrade to a deluxe lodge or camp. Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 2 & 3
Full Day safari Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning breakfast if you don’t mind waking up early. You will have the option of doing safari game drives at dawn, before returning to the lodge/camp for breakfast and rest.
If you wish, you can have early morning breakfast and leave with packed lunch for a full day of safari game drives in the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve, in search of wildlife.
Masai Mara is the most popular wildlife area in Kenya with the wildebeest migration that happens every year between July and October being the best attraction. The wildebeest Migration in Masai Mara draws thousands of visitors every year, as most of the visitors come to tick off this bucket list adventure tour. Many visit the Masai mara to try their luck in their quest to witness what has been termed by many as the best wildlife phenomenon in the world’ otherwise referred as ‘The Great Migration’.
Masai Mara is however an all-year-round destination and even without the Wildebeests Migration, the park has the best ecosystem which harbors thousands of large and small mammals alike. Masai Mara is also home to the Big five namely; Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards and the Rhinos. Masai mara is also home to many other animals and birdlife.
You will spend these two days in the Masai mara enjoying a privately guided safari that includes safari game drives, with the option for doing other optional activities like bush walks, balloon safaris and cultural visits to the Maasai Villages. Later in the afternoon you will be taken back to lodge or camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Zebra Mara Plains Camp. All meals included.
Day 4
Masai Mara Game Reserve – Transfer back to Nairobi – end of safari
Ths is the last day of your 4 days Masai Mara safari from Nairobi. You will have early morning breakfast at your lodge or camp, then you will check out and transfer leave the Masai Mara with game viewing on your way out. You will be transferred back to Nairobi where you will be dropped back to your hotel or Airport if you are departing right away. That marks the end of your 4 days Kenya safari to Masai Mara National Reserve.
Accommodation upgrade is possible in case you want to stay in a more luxurious place, but we can also include cheaper midrange lodging in case you wish to lower the cost of your Masai mara safari.
