6-Day Kenya & Tanzania Safari

Your safari begins with a pickup from Nairobi and transfer by road to Masai Mara Game Reserve, setting the stage for an adventure of a lifetime. You will be arriving at your lodge or camp in time for  hot lunch.

After a delicious lunch at the lodge or camp, immerse yourself in the enchanting landscapes of Masai Mara with an afternoon safari. Expect to encounter the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos, as well as the graceful giraffes and various antelope species.

You will do safari game drives until late afternoon then your private guide will transfer you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Your overnight stay at Enkakenya Mara Camp promises a tranquil night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. Lunch and Diner included. 

If you have no problem waking up early, you have an option of doing an early morning safari game drive before returning to your lodge or camp for breakfast.

A full-day safari extravaganza in the renowned Masai Mara awaits! Traverse the vast plains and witness the drama of the Great Wildebeest Migration if you’re traveling during the migration season. Capture the iconic silhouette of acacia trees against the African sunset and spot the elusive predators, such as cheetahs and hyenas, in action. Masai Mara’s diverse ecosystems guarantee encounters with an array of wildlife, including prolific birdlife that paints the skies with vibrant hues.

Later in the afternoon, you will be taken back to your camp where you will sit and have the option to enjoy your favorite drink at the campfire place. Overnight at Enkakenya Masai Mara Camp. All meals included.

Early morning breakfast at your lodge/camp as you bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Masai Mara. After check-out, drive out of  Masai Mara and drive towards the Isebania Border, the gateway to Tanzania. Here, you will go through the seamless process of obtaining visas, marking the transition into a new chapter of your safari. You will say goodbye to your Kenyan safari guide and then join your Tanzania guide. You will board the Tanzania safari jeep which you will use from here onwards.

Transfer through the vibrant Mugumu township, a charming cultural mosaic that adds a touch of local flavor to your journey. As you pass through the Ikoma gate, the vast expanse of the Serengeti National Park unfolds before you, promising untold wildlife wonders. Your arrival in Serengeti in the afternoon marks the commencement of an exciting exploration. This afternoon, your first game drives in Serengeti National Park begin, offering glimpses of the iconic Big Five, graceful giraffes, and an array of bird species painting the skies with vibrant hues. As the sun sets on the Serengeti plains, you’ll be whisked away to your chosen haven – your tented camp or bush lodge – where the magic of the wilderness seamlessly blends with the comfort of your accommodation. On Day 4 of your 6 Days Kenya Tanzania Safari, you will immerse yourself in the grandeur of Serengeti National Park, a vast wilderness that beckons with untold wonders.

For the early risers, an optional sunrise game drive unveils the secrets of the Serengeti dawn, offering glimpses of nocturnal creatures gracefully retiring after a night of hunting. As the first rays of sunlight paint the savannah in warm hues, the stage is set for an unforgettable day of exploration. This is also the best time for photography if you an avid or amateur wildlife photographer.

After breakfast, set out from your lodge or camp with lunch boxes in tow, embarking on a full-day safari through the endless plains of Serengeti. Renowned as Tanzania’s largest national park, Serengeti unfolds before you in all its majesty, offering a canvas of diverse landscapes teeming with a myriad of animal and bird species.

Prepare for an awe-inspiring spectacle as you encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, kudus, hartebeests, and buffaloes, each contributing to the vibrant tapestry of Serengeti’s wildlife. With a stroke of luck, the elusive members of the Big Five might make a majestic appearance, enriching your safari experience with their commanding presence.

In the late afternoon, your guide will take you back to your lodge or camp where you will enjoy a campfire as you sip your favorite drink, a time to catch up with other lodge dwellers and share stories about the day’s sightings and set anticipation for the next day’s adventure.

As the sun rises on Day 5 of your 6-Day East African Adventure, indulge in a hearty breakfast at your camp or lodge, marking the beginning of your Serengeti farewell. Before bidding adieu to this iconic national park, embark on one last exhilarating game drive. Your journey out of Serengeti takes you through the Seronera River Valley, a wildlife-rich haven that might surprise you with its diverse inhabitants. Trust in the expertise of your professional safari guide, who, equipped with VHF high-frequency radios, is in constant communication with fellow guides to ensure you explore the most captivating corners of the Serengeti.

In the afternoon, the road leads you Karatu, traversing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing on the way. If you are interested, you may make a brief stop at the Olduvai Museum or a Masai Village where you will learn about their culture and tradition as well as join them in their dancing.

Check into the Marera Valley Lodge or Country Lodge at Karatu, where the tranquility of the surroundings sets the stage for an evening of relaxation. All meals are included.

Very early in the morning you will take your breakfast or carry a packed breakfast.

Today’s adventure unfolds as you descend early into the Crater floor, maximizing your chances of encountering the elusive Black Rhinos and other rare species ts. The morning is yours to explore the wonders of the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural zoo enclosed by towering walls, boasting the highest concentration of wild animals.

Marvel at the possibility of encountering the Big Five in a single day, as the Crater’s diverse ecosystems come to life. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the designated site by the hippo poolside, surrounded by the sounds of nature. As the afternoon sun wanes, ascend the Crater rim, bidding farewell to this extraordinary conservation area.

Your journey culminates in Arusha, where you arrive in the late afternoon. You will be dropped at Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport where you may catch your international flight back home or catch a regional connection back to Nairobi.
