6-day Safari Kenya | 6 days Kenya Safari from Nairobi

First day of your safari in Kenya! You will be picked up from your hotel lobby where you your Safari Desire guide will help you load your luggage into a modified safari van or land cruiser, and off you hit the road south of Nairobi towards Amboseli. On arrival at Amboseli you will make a brief stop at the parks’ gate for registration and head towards your camp or lodge with game viewing on the way.

You will have a hot lunch at your lodge or camp on arrival and after checking in. After taking a rest at your lodge or camp, you will head out in your safari car for an afternoon/sunset game drive that will go on from around 4.00 Pm to 6:00 pm when you will check back into the lodge for refreshments and later dinner and overnight. You may be interested in sitting around the campfire as you drink your favorite local beer or wine, while sharing stories with other safari enthusiasts. Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp. Not worried by waking up early? You can go out for an early morning game drive at dawn in order to try your luck in spotting the nocturnal predators as they retire back from a night hunt out. Most animals are at their most active in the morning before the African sun is too hot for them. Lunch can be at the lodge or at a picnic site if going on a full-day safari.  The day will be spent doing private safari game drives, exploring the different corners of the Amboseli in search or wildlife, and bird life, and if you wish, you may also participate in visiting the Masai Villages that border the national park.

Your 6-day Kenya Safari takes you to the next magnificent location today! Say goodbye to your hosts of the last two nights in Amboseli, as you check out after breakfast, then hit the road, this time towards Lake Nakuru National Park which is located at the base of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive by mid-day in time for your hot lunch at your lodge or camp. You will relax for a couple of hours after lunch, then head for your afternoon game drives until early evening when you check back at your lodge for dinner.
Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for colorful flamingo flocks, Rhinos, and rare animals like the Rothschild giraffe, as well as many other animals and an abundance of birdlife.  Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge. All meals included. 

Early morning breakfast at your lodge or camp in Nakuru, then you will check out and head through Naivasha and Narok towns towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Your first safari game drive in the Masai Mara starts straight from the gate, as you drive towards your safari lodge or camp for lunch.

After lunch at your lodge, you will relax or take an afternoon siesta if you wish, after which you will go on your afternoon safari game drives until late afternoon. After refreshment at your lodge or camp, you may enjoy sitting at the campfire area. Every evening weather permitting the fire pit is lit and you can enjoy one of your favorite drinks in the warm glow of its flames, under the beautiful African sky illuminated by the stars. Dinner and overnight will be at Zebra Plains Tented Camp. All meals included.

An early safari game drive at dawn is an option if you are okay with waking up early. You have a full day at Masai Mara Game Reserve, so you have an option of doing a morning and afternoon safari game drive with a break for lunch and relaxation at the lodge or camp or go on a full-day safari with a packed lunch.

Spend the day with game drives in Masai Mara or other optional activities in Masai Mara like the bush walks accompanied by Masai Warriors, or a visit to the Masai Villages. It is also possible to arrange extras at the lodges or camps, like bush breakfast, lunch or bush dinner. Hot Air balloon safaris in Masai Mara is another at dawn is another way to better your safari experience in this iconic bucket list destination.

The vast plains in Masai Mara are home to many animals such as Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, and wildebeest, Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers.

It is also very common to spot many big cats; lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the wild plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common. Dinner and overnight at Zebra Plains Masai Mara Camp. All meals included.

Breakfast at your lodge or camp then we will depart with a last safari game drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve as we leave the park. We will drive back to Nairobi city, arriving around 2 Pm, when you will be dropped at your hotel or at the airport if departing this afternoon.
